Traditional relaxation massage using long flowing strokes. This massage is great for those just being introduced to massage. A great massage for de-stressing from daily endeavors and enhancing the parasympathetic nervous system.
Hot Stone massage
A relaxation massage that uses warmed basalt stones. Long flowing strokes are incorporated with warmed placement stones throughout the body. The heat allows for muscles to relax and receive deeper pressure. This is a great massage for cold rainy or snowy days.
Deep Tissue Massage
A therapeutic massage using firm pressure to aide chronic and injury related tension. A combination of techniques are applied consisting of myofascial release, trigger point, neuromuscular therapy, massage cupping and assisted stretching.
A deep tissue technique using firm “eco- pressure”, which is a pressure that “hurts so good” but should not illicit pain. This is an active massage between the client and therapist. This massage resets proproreception in muscles which are over elongated and or shortened. Great for re-modling scar tissue and rehabbing injuries.
A technique which comes from traditional chinese medicine. Great for breaking up scar tissue and rearranging adhered tissues to a more supple tone. The cups can range from glass fire cups, silicone, and plastic. The cups can be placed throughout the body and used statically or used in movement while massaging. The technique stimulates lymph drainage and circulation.
Myofascial release therapy
A slow massage which targets the connective tissue and stimulates lymph drainage. A firm pressure is used by way of knuckles, elbow and other tools to slowly stretch the restriced fascia. Skin rolling techniques and trigger point release are used in combination and is great for chronic tension and scar tissue remodeling.
A massage done in loose fitted clothing. Performed on a matt on the floor incorporating accupressure and stretching poses. Basic massage for the upper extremity, lower extremity, head, neck and trunk techniques. Great for alleviating general pain and discomfort and promoting overall wellness for the entire body system.
Enhance any massage by adding essential oils of choice. Aromatherapy stimulates mood and invites a deeper sense of relaxation.
This massage is great for all trimesters of pregnancy. Done safely either side lying with comfortable pillows and wedges or traditionally with pregnancy cushions designed to support the belly. This is great for relieving water retention and edema at the feet and ankles, relieving hip, back and neck pain.
Fascial Stretch massage
An assisted stretching technique which is performed on a massage table or floor done in loose fitted clothing. This stretching technique uses a modified proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation technique. Isometric contraction, fascial traction, oscillation, and circumduction are components of the fascial stretch wave. Great for any athlete, sports recovery, injury rehab or chronically tight muscles.
